The victim that was found safe and well after she was reported missing for three days.

KUCHING: A woman who was missing for three days at Kampung Skrang, Engkilili has been found safe and well yesterday.

A state Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) spokesperson said that as the search and rescue (SAR) operation entered its second day, the search team was informed of the discovery of Shamsiah Nor, 55, by a passer-by.

The victim was found under a farm hut by the roadside some 1.5km from the SAR control centre at Sedarat Panjai at 1.23pm.

Shamsiah was brought to the Engkilili Health Clinic for further treatment. The operation ended at 2.15pm.

The victim was said to have been missing since Mar 20. According to witnesses (public), she was walking to Skrang from Sedarat at 9am.

Firefighters were contacted on Mar 22 at around 10.13am following a missing person report lodged by the victim’s nephew after their search came to no avail and requested for the authorities’ assistance to search for the victim.

There were also indicators that the victim entered a forest near Rumah Panjang Memaloi Skrang
