KUCHING: The mobile vaccination centre (PPV) implemented in Debak district was well received by the locals.

Saribas assemblyman Mohammad Razi Sitam said the vaccine rollout carried out by the mobile vaccination team was held from Saturday (June 26) until today (June 27).

“Before this, Debak folk had to turn up for their jabs at the Dewan Panglima Rentap PPV in Betong.

“With this effort, we can ease the burden of vaccine recipients in Debak and speed up the vaccination process in the district,” he told Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) on Saturday (June 26).

Earlier, he paid a visit to the mobile PPV at Sekolah Kebangsaan Datuk Bandar, Debak.

He also called upon the villagers who have yet to receive the vaccine to send in their details to the village head or district office of their respective areas.

He said a total of 1,900 individuals throughout Debak district have registered for the vaccination through their respective village safety and development committees.

“The vaccination programme will resume next week,” he said.

He added that the immunisation programme will also be held in Kampung Tuie and Kampung Serabang in the constituency.
