KUCHING: Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu has expressed his gratitude towards Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sarawak Tun Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, for his dedicated service.
During his recent courtesy visit to Wan Junaidi here, the Agriculture and Food Security Minister highlighted Wan Junaidi’s exemplary leadership, citing his chairmanship of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) Transformation and Political Stability meeting while serving as Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Parliament and Law).
“Wan Junaidi is open minded in making any decisions for the benefit of Parliament and the country without favouring any political party.
“I am confident that under his leadership as TYT, who is equipped with experience in law and has held positions such as the President of Dewan Negara, he will be able to steer Sarawak better now and into the future,” he said.
“For me, his appointment is well-deserved,” Mohamad Sabu said.
The courtesy visit marks Mohamad Sabu’s inaugural meeting with Wan Junaidi following his appointment as TYT on Jan 26.
