SARATOK: A family in Kampung Melango Lama here was shocked to discover a large monitor lizard inside their toilet stall today (Feb 25).
Concerned for their safety, they reached out to the Civil Defence Force (APM) for help in capturing the creature.
Upon receiving a distress call at 1.29 pm, a team was immediately dispatched to the location.
The team inspected the toilet and successfully located the reptile in one of the stalls.
Using a catchpole, the lizard was quickly captured and subsequently removed from the toilet.
Afterward, the monitor lizard, about the size of an adult’s thigh, was released back into its natural habitat.
