MIRI: A one-metre-long monitor lizard, which was found in a house at Jalan Belian, Desa Bahagia here today, has been safely removed.

The Miri Civil Defence Force (APM) said that no one was harmed by the ‘uninvited guest’.

After receiving an urgent call from the homeowner at 1.46 pm, a team from APM was swiftly dispatched to the location.

Upon reaching the house, they found the monitor lizard, locally known as “Biawak”, hiding under a table in the living room.

The reptile was then released to the wild.
