SRI AMAN: A monkey got stuck in a coconut tree at Kampung Muhibbah here, yesterday.

“The Sri Aman District Civil Defence Force (APM) received complaints from the villagers about at 3pm.

“Aware of the difficulties faced by the animal, we immediately dispatched a few personnel to the scene to rescue the monkey,” Captain (APM) Siti Huzaimah Haji Ibrahim said, adding that a special pole was used to rescue the trapped monkey.

Siti urged members of the public to contact Sri Aman District APM’s emergency line 083-320973 immediately if they find wild animals or poisonous reptiles in their homes.

“The people in Sri Aman can also contact us using the same line during emergency or disaster in their areas.

“We are always ready to help and serve the people irrespective of the time. Give us your full cooperation and be alert to any emergency situation in your areas,” Siti said.
