More mosques, suraus for Santubong

KUCHING: Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar chaired a meeting on Friday (Sept 11) to discuss the status of new applications and progress of mosqueand surauconstruction projects in Santubong.

The Santubong MP said that the discussion aimed to find out the latest developments of the construction of three mosques and three suraus which had been approved through the Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) allocation for Santubong and the special allocation of Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg in 2018.

“We also discussed the site and plan for new applications for three mosquesand a surauwhich have recently been sent to Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

“The briefing on the latest construction status was also presented by engineers from the Sarawak Development Office and Public Works Department (JKR) Sarawak during this meeting,” he said in a Facebook post on Friday.

Wan Junaidi said that discussions and briefings on the latest status of all development projects in Santubong were conducted periodically to ensure that development planning was completed according to the set time and not delayed.
