More people vaccinated at Tanah Puteh, Batu Kawa health clinics

KUCHING: Tanah Puteh Health Clinic in Jalan Pending — the second oldest clinic in the city — successfully saw to the vaccination of some 1,000 people on Sunday (July 4).

Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) advisor Datuk Seri Dr Sim Kui Hian said despite space constraints, the clinic managed to administer a total of 1,000 doses.

“This is possible because of the extraordinary cooperation and collaboration of the clinic, SJK Chung Hua Pending, and Kuching City South Council,” he said in a Facebook post on Sunday.

In another post, Dr Sim also congratulated Batu Kawa Health Clinic for having vaccinated more than 1,000 people last weekend.

“Congratulations and well done to the clinic staff led by Dr Lenny for vaccinating 1,400 people over the weekend.”

The Sarawak Local Government and Housing Minister said with the help of volunteers, more than 2,500 people were vaccinated over the weeknights as well.

“Everyone can get the vaccine in Sarawak. Just do it. Let’s fight Covid-19 together.”
