More Smart Reader Kids® centres open in East M’sia

SIBU: A prominent early childhood preschool provider in the region, Smart Reader® Worldwide is further strengthening its presence in East Malaysia with the launching of Smart Reader Kids® centres in Sibu, Kota Kinabalu and Bintulu.

The three new centres are Smart Reader Kids® (Jalan Berjaya, Sibu), Smart Reader Kids® (Inanam Kapital, Kota Kinabalu) and Smart Reader Kids® (Taman Putra Jaya, Bintulu).

Other new centres which started operating in January this year are Smart Reader Kids® (Jalan Penissen, Kuching), Smart Reader Kids® (Jalan Datuk Mohd Musa, Kota Samarahan), Smart Reader Kids® (Bandar Baru Samariang, Kuching) and Smart Reader Kids® (KK Times Square 1 & 2), Kota Kinabalu).

With the latest expansion, there are now 26 Smart Reader Kids® centres in East Malaysia.

Second Minister of Finance, Dato Sri Wong Soon Koh said in his text of speech read out by his representative, Sibu Deputy Resident, Wong Hee Sieng that he was pleased with the expansion of the international-acclaimed preschool with reputable and globally-recognised syllabus to cater children in Sibu.

“Sibu is in the midst of expanding its education industry in order to attain a city status by 2020. The government is very committed to bringing greater economic growth to Sibu in order to achieve the target.

“I really encourage the franchise business and encourage more people to invest in Sibu as this will assist in creating job opportunities and thus spur the economic growth,” he said.

Chief Executive Officer of Smart Reader® Worldwide Sdn Bhd, Dato Sri Dr. Richard Ong, in his welcoming speech, said that Smart Reader® Worldwide was looking forward to offering more to communities in Sabah and Sarawak.

“With its latest expansion in East Malaysia, Smart Reader® Worldwide anticipates to see greater success and earn the communities support.”

“Currently, Smart Reader® Worldwide has established more than franchised centres in Malaysia with more than 150 centres in foreign shores, including branches in Australia, China, Indonesia, Brunei Darussalam, Thailand, Philippines and United Arab Emirates,” he said, adding that the company was planning future ventures in Qatar and Nigeria.

Franchisee Lau Lan May expressed her passion for teaching, saying that it gave her satisfaction to see the little ones excel in their studies.
