SARIKEI: A Landscape Exhibition will be held at Taman Tasik, Jalan Repok, here, from November 18 to 24. Staged in conjunction with Pesta Nanas & Buah-Buahan Borneo 2017, the one-week long event is organised by Sarikei District Council(SDC).
The exhibition is opened to private sectors, government agencies, local councils from other divisions, schools and individuals.
It is aimed at providing the opportunity for the participants to showcase their skills & artistic concepts and a platform for the locals to have better understand about the landscaping industry, gardening and landscaping knowledge.
There are attractive prizes awaiting the winners in the two categories, namely: Corporate Category(1st-RM6,000, 2nd RM4,000 & 3rd RM2,000), and Individual Category(1st-RM300, 2nd-RM200 & 3rd RM100). As the parking lots at the park will be occupied for the event, an alternative spot for car-parking will be provided by the local authority at Sri Nyelong and behind Sarawak Energy’s Office.
Taman Tasik will be opened to the public from 8am to 8pm, but for safety and security reason, would be closed after the exhibition hours. The exhibition is opened to all and those interested to participate may obtain the entry forms at the council during office hours. The closing date for participation is on November 14.
