KUCHING: More ventilators will be distributed to hospitals in Sarawak.

Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Seri Dr Sim Kui Hian said the Ministry of Health (MoH) had given several ventilators to assist hospitals in the state.

“Thank you very much for bringing 10 ventilators to Sarawak for immediate use to save lives,” he said in a Facebook post on Monday (April 12).

He added that more ventilators would be arriving sometime next week.

On another note, he welcomed Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba to Sarawak.

Dr Adham was in Kuching on Tuesday (April 13) for a one-day visit. He paid a courtesy visit on Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg and Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas, who is also Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) chairman.

Dr Adham then visited the Vaccine Distribution Centre at Stadium Perpaduan, followed by a visit to the Covid-19 Low Risk Quarantine and Treatment Centre (PKRC) and quarantine centre in Serian.

Dr Adham also went to Kampung Sungai Engkabang B in Mile 12, Jalan Serian-Sri Aman before leaving Kuching.
