KUCHING: Despite being constantly reminded by authorities to always register the MySejahtera application before entering a premises, it still remains the most common standard operating procedure (SOP) violation by the public.

From Mar 18 to Mar 24, the SOP compliance operation team from Kuching district police headquarters (IPD) issued a total of 61 compound notices.

Of the figure, 40 men and 18 women were issued compounds worth RM61,000 while three premises were compounded RM3,000.

Kuching OCPD ACP Ahsmon Bajah, who confirmed the case, said the most common violation committed was failing to register the MySejahtera application before entering a premises.

“All the compounds were issued under Regulation 17 (1) and 17 (2) of the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases (Measures within Local Areas of Infection) Regulation 2021 (Act 342).

“The community are strongly reminded to abide by the SOPs for the good of all,” he said.
