BINTULU: A motorcyclist was killed when he crashed into a tree in Jalan Abang Galau here.
SarawakTraffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief Supt Alexson Naga Chabu said a Yamaha Y15ZR crashed into a tree at a sharp bend at 10am yesterday.
“The motorcyclist, Irwan Hamdan, was killed on the spot after he was flung off his machine and landed near the tree,” he said.
The body of the 41-year-old victim was sent to the Bintulu Hospital for autopsy.
The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
