SRI AMAN: A motorcyclist was killed after he lost control of his bike and crashed into a concrete road barrier at KM13, Jalan Sri Aman-Sarikei on Thursday night.

Sarawak Traffic Investigation and Enforcement chief Supt Alexson Naga Chabu said the incident occurred around 10.15pm.

The victim identified as Melvin Randy Judy, 30, was said to be travelling from Sri Aman to Sarikei.

“Early investigations revealed that the victim’s motorcycle had gone out of control and crashed into a concrete road barrier on the right side of the road.

“As a result of the crash, the victim sustained head injuries and was pronounced dead by paramedics from Sri Aman Hospital who rushed to the scene,” he said in a statement.

The body was taken to Sri Aman hospital’s morgue for further actions.

The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
