MIRI: An unidentified motorcyclist was found dead following an accident near the Marudi junction at Jalan Pan Borneo today (May 2).
Firefighters from Lopeng station were dispatched to the scene after receiving an emergency call at 9.04 am.
Upon arrival, they found that the man and his motorcycle in a steep section of Jalan Pan Borneo, about four metres below the road surface.
The victim, without any identification document, was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
His body was retrieved from the steep terrain and handed over to the police to be taken to the hospital for post-mortem procedures.
The team ended the operation at 11 am.
