MIRI: A man from Kampung Bakam was killed in what is believed to be a self-accident that occurred at KM17, Miri coastal road.
Miri OCPD ACP Alexson Naga Chabu said the deceased had been identified as Mazwan Selan, aged 32.
“He was riding alone, heading to his workplace in Eastwood Valley when the incident happened at 12.35pm last Saturday (July 9).
“The deceased’s motorcycle hit a tree that had fallen on the road.
“The case is being investigated under Section 41 (1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.”
