SIBU: A motorcyclist was lucky to escape serious injury following a self-accident at a bend near the Sungai Salim bridge, on Thursday (Feb 3)

The Civil Defence Force (APM) said the 64-year-old man was injured in the incident that wa believed to have occurred at 11am.

“APM personnel arrived at the scene at 11.43am and found the man lying in the middle of the road while being assisted by members of the public.

“When examined, the victim suffered minor injuries on his hands and feet. The victim also complained of pain in his back and right leg,” a spokesman from APM said.

After being given initial treatment, the victim was then taken to Sibu Hospital by ambulance.
