MIRI: A local man sustained body injuries after his motorcycle was involved in an accident along the Piasau roundabout.

The man was riding on a red motorcycle and was hit by an oncoming 4WD resulting in him being sent flying to the side of the road.

Due to the collision, the 19-year old man injured his left jaw, right hand, right knee and right leg.

Miri Civil Defence Force (JPAM) squad led by corporal Zoolihsan Sahari rushed to the scene at 12.24pm.

It was reported that the accident happened around 12pm, JPAM then arrived at the scene at 12.30pm and despatched the injured 19-year old motorcyclist to Miri Hospital at 12.41pm.

He was brought to Miri Hospital for further action and investigation.
