KUCHING: Two motorcyclists succumbed to their injuries on Saturday after colliding with each other along Jalan Kampung Sangki-Tebelu, Sebuyau. In the 10.30am incident, Wan Muhammad Nazri Wan Rajuna, 18, was making his way to Kampung Tebelu, Simunjan while Francis Umpau Nyareng, 52, was coming from the opposite direction.
State Traffic Investigation and Enforcement chief Supt Alexson Naga Chabu believed that one of the motorcycles entered the opposite lane which led to the collision.
The victims were rushed to Simunjan Hospital for treatment where they were later pronounced dead. Alexson added that both motorcycles have been taken to undergo inspection at the Chemistry Department and Puspakom.
The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987
