BINTULU: A 49-year-old man was killed on the spot after a car that he was travelling in skidded and rammed into a tree along Jalan Tanjong Kidurong here.
According to Sarawak Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief Supt Alexson Naga Chabu, in the 3.45am incident, the victim Duncan Kuching was heading to Bintulu town from Tanjong Kidurong when he suddenly lost control of the vehicle.
Following the crash, Duncan was reportedly trapped in his seat and a team of Bintulu firemen was mobilised to the scene to help extricate his body.
The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
