KUCHING: A man died on the spot after the car he was driving crashed and landed on its side at Jalan Sultan Tengah today.
A spokesman from the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department operations centre said firemen from Petra Jaya station were despatched to the scene after receiving a distress call around 8.35 am.
The firemen arrived to find that the man trapped in the flipped car.
Extricating works were carried out and the victim was successfully brought out of the vehicle.
However, paramedics at the scene confirmed that the victim had died at the scene.
The body was taken to the Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) for post-mortem.
The victim’s identity was not disclosed by the authorities.
