LAWAS: A motorist and his woman passenger were injured when the car he was driving skidded and crashed onto a roadside tree at Jalan Gaya here early Saturday morning.
According to Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operation centre, the accident occurred around 5.30am.
Lawas Fire and Rescue Station rushed five personnel to the scene soon after receiving a distress call about the incident.
The firemen immediately extricated the injured woman from the wrecked car and sent her to Lawas Hospital in an EMRS vehicle. The injured driver was also sent to the hospital in an ambulance. Two other male passengers in the car were not injured.
The car is believed to be travelling from Lawas Town to Long Sebangan before the incident occurred.
