KUCHING: The Management Institute of Sarawak (MASA) inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Malaysia Institute of Management (MIM) during MIM’s 55th Anniversary Royal Gala Dinner at St Regis on Wednesday (Aug 17) .

According to a statement, the MoU entails collaboration and exchange of ideas on how to move forward.

It was signed by MASA President Datuk Dr Muhammad Abdullah Zaidel and MIM Chairman Tan Sri Datuk Seri Megat Najmuddin Megat Khas.

Muhammad said it marked a significant milestone as MASA continued to be progressive and adaptive in meeting members’ changing needs and demands.

“The management and leadership style today has undergone rapid progress that supports changing operational requirements while taking tangible steps to incorporate the new normal post COVID-19.

“Synergistic, smart partnerships will be key in accelerating the growth of MASA’s progress as it aims to provide continuous, enhanced and seamless services post COVID-19 to its diverse memberships,” he said.

On the other hand, MASA Deputy President Dunstan Chan described the MoU between MASA and MIM as a natural transition from MASA’s current business model.

“The MoU will provide new avenues and meet MASA’s missions through collaborative efforts while keeping MASA’s principals at its core.

“This is a significant milestone as MASA moves towards the successful execution of our long-term goals to position itself as a leading non-government organisation (NGO) within the region,” he said.
