MP hands donations to six individuals

LONG LAMA: Five less fortunate people and one person with disablity received donations and wheelchair from Baram Member of Parliament Anyie Ngau.

Anyie presented the donations at the Strategic Engagement and Outreach programme organised by Malaysian Information Department at Long Lama.

Touching on the programme, Anyie disclosed, the objective of the programme was to uplift the understanding on the  government policies.

“This programme is good where Information Department goes to the ground and meets people to translate and market the country’s policies and agenda.

“Thus people on the ground will  understand it as well as  it cultivates the patriotic spirit among the community,” he said.

He hopes that, the programme will enhance the understanding, support, confidence and involvement of the public on government policies and programmes towards the development of an informed, progressive, integral, prosperous and united nation.

Among those present at the event were Miri /Bintulu Information Officer Aba Sam, Marudi Information Officer Joseph James, Penghulu Desmond Yap and Kapitan Yeo.

At the end of the event, Anyi also presented the prizes to the winners of the children’s colouring contest.
