KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC) is inviting the business community from all sectors to participate in a “Productivity Step-Up” programme initiative.

In a statement today, MPC said it cannot emphasise enough the “critical role” played by productivity across all industries and the importance of harnessing the power of technology and digitalisation to elevate productivity and foster innovation.

“We firmly believe that by boosting productivity, Malaysia can solidify its position as a global leader in the ever-evolving landscape of industry as aimed under the New Industrial Master Plan (NIMP),” its deputy director general Zahid Ismail said.

He said the programme is a comprehensive initiative designed to empower businesses encompassing manufacturing, services, and agriculture.

“The programme is set to engage over 1,000 companies, targets significant improvement of 5-10 per cent in key performance indicators such as productivity, quality, cost, delivery, safety, morale, and environment, highlighting MPC’s dedication to boosting productivity while embracing digital transformation,” Zahid said.
