KUCHING: Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC) Sarawak hosted the ‘Majlis Ramah Tamah Aidilfitri’ at Productivity Hall, MPC Sarawak, Jalan Bako, near here yesterday.

The ceremony held in conjunction with the Aidilfitri celebration was graced by its Board Member, Datuk Abang Haji Abdul Karim Tun Abang Haji Openg.

Karim said MPC has advocated numerous activities to promote the culture of excellence business among the agencies.

“Last year we held more than 50 programmes to uplift the excellence business in Sarawak and MPC Sarawak has been recognised as the most active in the country.

“This month alone, we have planed to hold six programmes including Workshop on Risk Management for Business Excellence, Workshop on Customer Relationship Management, Best Practice Study Visit on Business Excellence to Penang, and others,” he said.

On the ceremony, Karim handed a certificate of appreciation to State MPC Manager, Jerry Shahrizal, who will be transfered to MPC Headquarters in Kuala Lumpur shortly.

Jerry who has been working for MPC Sarawak for the past seven years will start work at MPC Headquarters on Aug 1.

Besides serving the quests with food and drinks, the ceremony was enlivened by Hari Raya karaoke.
