BINTULU: A multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) burst into flames after it was involved in a collision with a four-wheel-drive vehicle near the Summer Villa junction on Tuesday (Nov 2).
Fortunately, nobody was injured in the 5pm incident.
“Prior to the incident, the 4WD was coming from J5 heading towards the Summer Villa junction while the MPV was from the Taman Tinggi traffic light junction heading to J5,” said Sarawak Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief Supt Alexson Naga Chabu.
The collision occurred when the 4WD was about to turn into the junction.
The impact caused the MPV to burst into flames.
The incident is being investigated under the Road Traffic Rules 3(2)(b)LN 166/59.
