MRP grants for 19 NGOs, JKKKs in Tanjung Datu

LUNDU: Nineteen non-governmental organisations (NGOs), Village Development and Security Committees (JKKKs) and stalls received minor rural project (MRP) grants worth RM110,000.

Tanjong Datu assemblyman, Azizul Annuar Pehin Sri Adenan said that the grants were allocated to be used for the NGOs and JKKKs to carry out activities and to help the hawkers in the area with their small business.

“MRP grants amounting to RM 76,000.00 and My Khas amounting to RM 34,000.00 have all been banked into the accounts of NGOs and JKKKs who have applied.

“Meanwhile, the list of application for the stalls has also been submitted and so far, a total of nine hawkers will receive it,” he said during the MRP 2022 /Phase 4 Grant Presentation Programme and Stall Handover at the Mahligai Gading Lundu Multipurpose Hall yesterday.

Among the JKKKs that received are JKKK Kampung Pandan, JKKK Kampung Meriyu, JKKK Kampung Bajo, Kampung Stunggang Ulu, JKKK Tanah Hitam, Kampung Bruan and Kampung Sekambal.

For the NGOs, they include Kampung Stoh PIBG, Islamic Education Council, Lundu Tourism Task Force, Chapel St Andrew Kampung Siru Dayak, SP Welfare and Recreation Committee, BOMBA Welfare & Recreation Club, Lundu / Sematan District PERKEP, PIBG of SRK Pueh, Sarawak Medical Club, The Lundu Muslim Charitable Trust, Buraq Terbang and PIBG SMK Telok Melano.
