MRP grants for rural recipients

BINTULU: The disbursement of Minor Rural Projects (MRP) grants, especially to recipients in the rural areas reflects the state government’s continuous effort to develop the rural communities.

As such, Kakus incumbent Datuk John Sikie Tayai urged the constituents in Kakus constituency to rally their support towards the ruling government under the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS).

He made the call when presenting a sum of RM158,000 in the form of MRP grants, which were disbursed to 16 recipients  comprising longhouse village security and development committee (JKKK) and organisations in the constituency on Tuesday (Nov 17).

It was the eighth and the last series of MRP grants distribution for this year (under Kakus constituency) which involved a total of RM710,000.

Also present at the function was Tatau district offcer  Jabang Juntan.
