MUKAH: The operation room or bilik gerakan of the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumers Affair (KPDNHEP) Mukah Branch is open every day during the movement control order (MCO) from 8am to 6pm.
Mukah branch chief Salihin Den said the ministry’s office here can be contacted at 084-872726 if consumers have any relevant complaint.
“For state-level it is called enforcement command centre (ECC), but for us at branch-level it is referred to as bilik gerakan,” he said here recently.
According to him, at ECC the staff members are also equipped with walkie-talkie to facilitate their job.
In a related development, he revealed that daily check was conducted by price monitoring officers (PPH) and enforcement officers to ensure that the supply of essential items was sufficient and sold at reasonable price during the MCO.
Salihin said although the focus was on the two main shopping centres here, the ministry also paid attention to other stores.
