Mukah football gets RM14,000 grant from MP

MUKAH: The Mukah Division Football Association (MuFA) received a grant of RM14,000 from Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Sabah and Sarawak Affairs) Datuk Hanifah Hajar Taib.

Balingian assemblyman Abdul Yakub Arbi witnessed the handover of the cheque by Hanifah to MuFA president Khairul Anuar Adeni in conjunction with the 2022 MuFA Setia Raja League on yesterday (Sept 18).

Khairul expressed his appreciation for the assistance and pledged to improve the quality of football in Mukah.

“Hopefully, the enthusiasm and interest in sports, especially football, in Mukah will continue to grow with the support of local leaders.”

During the opening ceremony of the tournament, Hanifah, who is also the Mukah MP, watched four games of the tournament, which started on Sept 13.

Almost 1,000 people filled the Dalat and Mukah District Council field to watch FT BanQku beat Oya FC 5-2.
