Mukah K1M holds ‘Malam Simfoni Kasih’

MUKAH: An Independence day related event, Mukah Parliament 1Malaysia Community(K1M) Malam Simfoni Kasih, was held at Kampung Petanak, here on August 18.

Staged at the new multi-purpose hall of the village, it was officiated by State Information Department Director, Abang Sardon B Abang Hashim.

The event which was organised by Mukah District Information Department was attended by over 300 K1M members from thirteen K1Ms in Dalat, Mukah and Balingian.

In his speech at the function, Sardon pointed out that the core business of K1M is to channel the correct information to the people in their area.

He disclosed that there were 235 K1Ms in Sarawak and they could become community journalists especially for channeling accurate happenings or problems from the ground and spread through social media.

Also present at the function were Sibu and Mukah Information Officer, Ivy Sekai, K1M Kampung Petanak Chairman, Abdul Rahim Perin, Mukah District Information Officer, Muhammad Alwi, Dalat District Information Officer, Khalid Aini, and local community leaders.
