There is no commotion when lining up to get a supply of chicken eggs.

MUKAH: Residents here who need a supply of chicken eggs are already ready as early as 6 am to get them.

Only one chicken egg supplier shop in the old market here always sells and provides supplies for all customers who need eggs at all times.

According to the sales schedule from the supplier’s store, the egg supply arrives in Mukah only on Wednesday and Sunday.

Egg suppliers offer a price of RM19 for grade AA, RM14.10 (Grade A), RM13.50 (Grade B), RM12.90 (grade C) and RM12.60.

This morning, Suara Sarawak conducted a survey of a shop that supplies and sells chicken eggs in Mukah’s old market and found that many Mukah residents were standing in a long line to get eggs there.

According to the shop manager there, he had to put certain conditions on the customers who came to his shop to buy eggs.

He said customers are not allowed to make advance reservations with the staff at the store, instead customers are asked to line up and must follow the conditions as to whether they can only make do with certain limits from time to time.

“Based on certain time, buyers are only allowed to buy one to two boxes per person. This condition is made so that all customers who come early or late to the store get the supply.

“With this method and conditions, there will no longer be any situation of fighting and confusion. Our side is also comfortable handling the hassle of customers and the important thing is to accustom them to the culture of not being greedy, being patient and avoiding commotion,” he added.
