Mukah Wet Market closes for five days

MUKAH: The Mukah Wet Market is temporarily closed for five days from Monday (July 5) until Friday.

According to a notice shared by Sarawak Public Communication Unit (UKAS) today (July 5), Mukah and Dalat District Council explained that the temporary closure was to allow the Mukah Divisional Health Office to carry out active case detection (ACD) and swab tests.

All traders and hawkers at the wet market were required to be at the market for the purpose of health screening today.

The council will also be carrying out sanitation activities during the temporary closure and the public have been advised not to visit the market for the time being.

It also reminded the public to follow the standard operating procedures (SOPs) and to maintain personal hygiene at all times.
