MIRI: A 34 year-old mother and her two young children, aged 12 and four, were taken to Miri Hospital after a 10-tonne lorry rear-ended their car late Sunday evening.

The incident occurred along the Jalan Miri Bypass Permyjaya, adjacent to the National Youth Skills Institute (IKBN) here.

Miri Civil Defence Force (APM) officer-in-charge Captain (PA)Usman Harto said, the agency was alerted of the incident at 6.18pm.

“When my officers arrived there, they found the car was badly dented, while all three victims were lying by the road shoulder,” he said.
The victims were subsequently rushed to the hospital to receive medical treatment.
