SAMARAHAN: The upcoming annual musical extravaganza, Home Concert XVII, scheduled for Dec 15 to 16, promises an immersive experience featuring film scoring and a diverse array of musical genres, all brought to life by talented local artistes.

Themed ‘Glowing Symphonic Concert,’ this eagerly anticipated event is meticulously organised by the Music Programme under the esteemed Faculty of Applied and Creative Arts (FACA) at Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS).

Set against the backdrop of the FACA Experimental Theatre, the concert will showcase the musical prowess of renowned local artistes including Veronica Natasha, Roxy, Hairee Francis, and iR Radzi.

The Home Concert holds a special place in the faculty’s annual calendar, serving as a testament to the dedication and skill of Music Programme students.

Since its inception in the academic year 2008/2009, the programme has been instrumental in honing students’ expertise in the intricate management of musical performances.

Beyond its role as a spectacular musical showcase, the Home Concert plays a crucial role as a learning platform.

Moreover, the Home Concert is a stage for various talents within the Music Programme featuring students who excel not only as musicians but also as composers, singers, and songwriters.
