KUALA LUMPUR: MYAirline Sdn Bhd (MYAirline), formerly known as Z9 Elite Sdn Bhd, on Monday (Dec 5) launched new routes from Kuala Lumpur to Kota Bharu, Penang and Sibu.
In a statement, MYAirline said the all-in fares would start fro
m as low as RM49* from Kuala Lumpur to Kota Bharu and Penang and RM89* to Sibu.
These fares are available at www.myairline.my from 5.30pm, with booking period from Dec 5-11.
The travel period for this campaign is from Dec 10, 2022 to March 25, 2023. All flights will depart from Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (KLIA2).
MYAirline is set to operate twice-daily flights to Kota Bharu from Dec 10, once-daily flights to Penang from Dec 23 and twice-daily flights to Sibu from Jan 18, 2023.
The airline will increase its flight frequency to twice daily to Penang and three times daily to Kota Kinabalu from Jan 7, 2023 onwards to provide travellers with more flexibility. MYAirline will operate these routes with three of its Airbus A320-200 jets.
Chief executive officer Rayner Teo said MYAirline finally took off earlier this month with flights to Kuching, Kota Kinabalu and Langkawi.
He said all three routes exceeded the airline’s expectations with high load factor of over 75 per cent on most flights.
“MYAirline will continuously add new destinations as we expand our domestic route network and are pleased to be flying to our first destination in the East Coast, which is Kota Bharu.
“Other new options for travellers include Penang and Sibu, our second destination in Sarawak.
“The feedback on our class-leading services have been positive. With more domestic routes, we continue our mission to bring more viable choices for our travellers,” said Teo.
MYAirline’s current route network comprises three destinations within Malaysia, with flights to Kuching, Kota Kinabalu and Langkawi.
These flights have opened for sale until March 2023.
