KUALA LUMPUR: myFreeview digital TV station will be introducing a new 24-hour channel namely ‘Awesome TV HD’ beginning tomorrow via channel 112.
MYTV Broadcasting Sdn Bhd (MYTV) in a statement said various programmes, including ‘Riuh Famili’ and ‘Keringat Selebriti’, are available on the channel to attract the interest of all levels of society.
MYTV chief executive officer Mazlan Mahdi said, the increase in number of myFreeview viewers especially during the Movement Control Order (MCO) period, had been very encouraging.
A total of 5.3 million viewers can now enjoy various myFreeview services and the company expects the number will continue to increase.
“This is our commitment to remain relevant in the national television broadcasting field.
“We are confident that Awesome TV will participate in the initiative to develop myFreeview digital TV service in the future and we hope that they will also take advantage of the services available on the myFreeview platform,” he said.
Through myFreeview, viewers can access various TV and radio channels such as TV1, TV2, TVOkey, Berita RTM, RTM HD Sports, TV3, ntv7, 8TV, TV9, ‘Drama Sangat’, CJ Wow Shop, TV Al Hijrah, Bernama and Astro Go Shop.
With the latest addition of Awesome TV HD, myFreeview now has a total of 16 TV channels, with eight in high-definition format, and six radio channels.
To enjoy myFreeview digital TV service, customers just have to get the DVB-T2 decoder or Integrated Digital TV (IDTV) at the nearest electrical shop or visit www.mytvbroadcasting.my.
