KUCHING: Seventeen exceptional students from SMK Batu Lintang receive the prestigious Naim Foundation Academic Excellence Awards for their achievement in last year’s Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) examination.

Among these achievers, two were among the top 10 students in the state.

The Naim Foundation Academic Excellence Award is one of the key initiatives by Naim Holdings Berhad’s, charity arm that supports causes like education, relief of distress, promotion of unity through sports, arts and culture, and other patriotic, charitable, and sustainability purposes.

During the award ceremony which took place at SMK Batu Lintang recently, Naim Holdings Bhd chief people officer Elise Loh said the students’ outstanding performance serves as a testament to their unwavering commitment to academic excellence.

“We are delighted to recognise their remarkable achievements,” Loh said in a press statement.

As one of the leading names in property development, Naim Holdings’ multifaceted initiatives, focusing on education and various charitable causes, remain integral to its mission of making positive and lasting impacts in society, she said.

Meanwhile, SMK Batu Lintang principal Hadiah Amit praised the maturity and sense of responsibility exhibited by the students who were not only grateful for the recognition but also expressed their aspirations with great enthusiasm.

“I have confidence in their abilities and foresaw these exceptional students becoming valuable contributors to Sarawak’s talent pool,” she added.
