LUNDU: The Narakng ceremony is the main platform to unite the Salako Rara community through activities related to customs and culture.

Opar assemblyman Billy Sujang said that thanks to the programme, the community’s customs and culture can be preserved and will not be lost to time.

“Not only that, it also connects the Salako Rara community both in Lundu and abroad through the publicity of the programme,” he said.

He said this while officiating the Narakng Salako Rara 2024 programme at the Kampung Biawak Multipurpose Hall, Lundu here on Saturday.

Earlier, Billy also announced that a sume of RM90,000 has been allocated to the Heritage Trail Club and Khazanah Salako Rara to organise the Narakng Salako Rara programme in 2025.
