KOTA SAMARAHAN: The public have nothing to worry about the Covid-19 vaccine as it is safe to use, as well as important to health and in battling the deadly virus.

Assistant Minister of International Trade and Industry, Industry Terminal & Entrepreneur Development Datuk Mohd Naroden Majais said this after he received his first dose of vaccine at Kota Samarahan Health Clinic today.

“I want to say to people that there is nothing to be afraid of and not to worry, nothing bad will happen. It felt fine for me,” he said.

He urged people to register for the vaccination while reminding them to inform the health officials if they have history of chronic diseases, allergies or other serious illness.

“If we have any chronic disease or anything, be truthful to the doctors so that they can take care of you,” he reminded.

On his experience in getting his first jab, Naroden said that he was nervous on his way to the clinic and seeing many people gathering.

“Well, on the way to get my vaccine, I felt nervous seeing many people at the clinic. After I got my vaccine, it felt normal.

“It is like when we get injected before we go for umrah or haji. There is no pain. So do not be afraid, it is fine,” he said.

The Gedong assemblyman affirmed that false information or news regarding the vaccine on social media was aimed at instilling fear among the people to not get vaccinated.

“It is just an act to instil fear among people and it is not very responsible. Vaccine is important for our health. It takes care of us and our family members,” said Naroden.

Also present at the clinic to receive his jab was Muara Tuang assemblyman Datuk Idris Buang.
