GEDONG: Incumbent assemblyman Datuk Mohd Naroden Majais is willing to make way for Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg to contest in Gedong in the upcoming 12th State Election.

He said this was in the interest of driving the constituency’s development at a rapid pace.

“As the people’s representative here, I feel fortunate to have received strong cooperation and support by the party committee, Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK), and various non-governmental organisations (NGOs) in this area. With this, we are able to plan and develop this area.

“However, we want Gedong to not only continue to develop but we want to see its implementation accelerated so that in a short time, the impact of its development can overflow to other areas such as Samarahan, Simunjan, Sebuyau, and the interior region of Simunjan.

“Of course, all this requires greater strength, financial power, the power to approve, and so on. Only the chief minister has such power,” said Naroden, who is also Assistant Minister of International Trade and Industry, Industrial Terminal and Entrepreneur Development.
