KUCHING: Mariners and river users are advised to navigate with extreme caution and to reduce their speed when navigating along Sarawak River between 8am and 3pm this Sunday.
Sarawak Rivers Board said in a statement today this was due to the Giant Fresh Water Prawn Competition which would be held in the vicinity of Masjid Terapung up to Pangkalan Haji Jamil.
Therefore, shipping communities, river transportation users and the public in general are advised to give full cooperation in the matter.
All must adhere to the instructions issued by the board to avoid any untoward incident during the event.
