MIRI: Effective June 2, the public here can apply for inter-district travel permits from the nearest police station, said Miri OCPD ACP Lim Meng Seah.
“We want to avoid congestion at Miri IPD,” he said yesterday.
He added that applications from only those with valid reasons would be considered.
The public here can go to Lutong Police Station, Miri Central Police Station, Airport Police Station, Tanjung Lobang Police Station, Bekenu Police Station and Batu Niah Police Station to apply for permits.
Prior to this, Miri IPD was the only location for the public to do so.
The permit is aimed at curbing the transmission of Covid 19 to green zone areas in the state.
