BELURU: Community in the state should remain united and not easily manipulated by opposition propaganda that could demolish their unity said Assistant Minister of Local Government and Marudi Assemblyman, Datu Dr. Peguang Manggil at the divisional level of ‘Negaraku Sehati Sejiwa Programme 2017, held at Rh Aji Ak. Yang, Sg. Selepin Bakong yesterday.

“We still need to develop further in future. Without unity and cooperation between grassroot people and the government, it is hard for us to advance further,” he said.

This year’s Independence Day Celebration theme ‘Negaraku Sehati Sejiwa’ is showing the importance of unity among the multi-racial people in Malaysia, he said.

Also present at the event were Baram Member of Parliament, Anyie Ngau, Miri Resident, Sherina Sauni, head departments and local dignitaries.
