KAPIT: The Chung Hua Kindergarten Board of Management held a gathering for the members and tutors of to celebrate Teachers Day held at a local restaurant recently.
The gathering was held to celebrate Teacher’s Day which falls on 16 May annually.
Chairman of the Board of Management of the kindergarten, Sii Bang Ee in his brief remark, wished all the teachers a ‘Happy Teacher’s Day’.
He said although a Teacher’s Day had passed, it is never too late to show appreciation to the fine efforts of teachers who are committed to educating the young.
“Kindergarten plays very important role in early childhood education. I would like to appeal to all tutors to try your very best to educate the young. Parents have high expectations when they sent children here. I hope after two years they are able to acquire the basic skills of learning to read, write and do simple mathematics.” said Sii.
Chung Hua Kindergarten has one headmistress, Cassy Yong and ten tutors with over two hundred children under their care.
Among board members present at the gathering were Kong Muk Hua, Stanley Ling Bee Chong, Kong Sien Chin, Chia Weng Kwong, Teoh Say Beng, Kong Siew Kim, Sng Geok Yien, Kong Sien Hua, Kong Sien Jong and Ling Hang Pin respectively.
