MUKAH: The state government presented Politeknik Mukah (PMU) with a new bus to assist the institute and its students in their transportation needs.
PMU thanked the Sarawak government for the 25 seater bus which costs RM298, 800 and which will be used to transport students undergoing practical training, educational visits and for official PMU trips
PMU director Dullah Muluk said, “We will take care of the bus and maintain it properly for the benefit of all of us,” at a simple bus keys handover ceremony at PMU here today.
During the ceremony, Dullah handed the bus keys to PMU’s bus driver Termizi Saji and was witnessed by deputy directors (academic and academic support respectively) Mohd Sani Said, Iskandar Reduan and other staffs.
The bus was applied by PMU students during a town hall session dubbed ‘Berambeh Ngan Abang Jo’ in conjunction with the ‘Today for Tomorrow Carnival’ held in Mukah on July 6, 2019 in Mukah.
On Monday, Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg officiated the handover ceremony of the bus to PMU at the compound of Wisma Bapa Malaysia where another bus was also approved for Politeknik Metro Betong.
PMU now has a total of three buses.
