SIBU: Director of Strategic Resources and Technology Department, CP Dato’ Sri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani made a working visit to the 10th Battalion of the General Operations Force (GOF) in Lanang Camp here, yesterday.
Upon arrival at the 10th Battalion GOF Camp, Acryl inspected a guard of honour mounted by members of the 10th Battalion GOF in the camp.
He was later briefed by Commanding Officer of the 10th Battalion GOF, Supt Sanudin Md Isa on the background of the 10th Battalion GOF at Lanang Camp and on the construction of a new camp at Batu 3, Jakar, Sarikei.
During a press conference, CP Dato’ Sri Acryl Sani said the new location for the 10th Battalion GOF camp was bigger than the present Lanang Camp.
“I understand that there may be a re-evaluation of the construction of the new camp which I hope will not take too long. After all, we have the financial allocation for the development of the new camp.
“Normally, if you build a new building in a new area, the construction process is much faster,” he pointed out.
