KUCHING: Kampung Meriyu in Lundu will get a new community hall and an embankment, said Tanjung Datu assemblywoman Datuk Amar Jamilah Anu.
She said an allocation of RM250,000 to complete the two projects has been approved after visiting the project site last Friday.
Jamilah said, a total of RM150,000 will be allocated to the community hall project while the other RM100,000 will be used to complete the embankment.
“Thank you to the Kampung Meriyu village safety and development committee (JKKK) who is always giving their full cooperation in helping to ensure the cleanliness of the village.
“The cleanliness of the village remains in ‘tip-top’ shape and it is hoped that it will continue to stay that way or even improved in the future,” she said on Saturday.
Jamilah also presented Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) membership cards to 14 members.
Besides that, a supply of shirts, posters, flags, caps and umbrellas were also given to Kampung Meriyu PBB branch chief Sipik Pawi for the use of the election machinery in the village.
