DALAT: A new community hall and a mosque have been proposed in Kampung Sungai Kut Tengah here.
Welfare, Community Wellbeing, Women, Family and Childhood Development Minister Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah visited the sites of the proposed projects recently.
Fatimah, who is also Dalat assemblywoman, was accompanied by Dalat District Officer Kueh Lei Poh and community leaders.
The projects will certainly benefit the villagers, who had requested such facilities.
Kampung Sungai Kut Tengah also has Christians and other believers besides Muslims.
Previously, Sungai Kut was an important riverine link between Sibu and Dalat as Oya as well as Mukah. The road system was only built in the late1980’s.
